Lenses
Lenses can easily give anyone analysis paralysis, so here's a list of of lens options that cover the most focal lengths that you'll probably need at varying budget points.
In my opinion, one of the most important lenses you can have in your kit. This a great middle of the road angle and beautiful F-stop range. If you can only buy one lens to start, I'd go with this one.
Canon RF50mm F1.4 L VCM
A more affordable version of the L series lens. Works great for both photo and video needing a wider angle.
Canon RF16-28mm F2.8 is STM
A more affordable alternative version to Canons F2 version, this lens puts the highly sought after focal lengths into more hands. An especially great lens for the Canon R50 V but still compatbily with any of the mirrorless camera bodies on this list.
Canon RF28-70mm F2.8
A lens that has come in clutch for me MANY times. A great lens for flexible shooting needs AND crazy affordable.
Canon RF35mm F1.8 Macro STM Lens Black
An iconic lens that is capable of producing iconic imagery. This is a must-have for events and portaints. By-far one of the most heavily used lenses in our possession.
Canon RF70-200mm F2.8 L
A workhorse of a lens that I tend to bring everywhere. This a great lens for video projects especially when you're want to include the environment in a video interview. A worthwhile investment if you have the budget.

Spanning all experience levels, these cameras are designed to take great photos AND video. All of these cameras do prioritize video features and specs.
A truly versatile “must-have” for any multimedia professional. This is my favorite everday carry item that has a spot in every single one of my gear bags. Great for basic photo needs and even better for video!
FOR EVERYDAY USE: Canon PowerShot V1
A video-first mirrorless camera that also takes great photos. This a great hybrid camera for beginner and intermediate video teams, with a very affordable price tag.
GREAT INTRO VIDEO CAMERA: Canon EOS R50 V Mirrorless Camera
New from Canon, this camera is THE camera if you want something more advance than the R50 V but more affordable and less “cinema" than the C50.
GREAT FOR INTERMEDIATE TO ADVANCED VIDEO USERS: Canon EOS R6 V
Most advanced video professionals will have a solid idea of what they want in a high-end video camera, but if you're wanting to take your skills to the next level and have the wiggle room in your budget, this is the cinema camera for you.

Must-Haves
Camera stabilization, audio, etc., these are all vital to creating high-quality videos. These are some of the accessories I own or have purchased for my organizations that I would ALWAYS bring with me or keep in my bag.
As a video professional who hisotrically has avoided tripods, this has been a game changer. The verstality of this tripod is INSANE and truly makes it an invaluable tool for any video pro.
SMALLRIG Potato Jet TRIBEX SE Tripod
One of the most important pieces of any video kit. I personally have switched over to using these and I really enjoy using them. Small, easy to use and great audio, which is the most important aspect of any video!
DJI Mic 3
A great mic set that we use at San Juan Unified. It's slightly more bulky than the DJI wireless mics but overall very robust and easier to navigate the menu settings.
RØDE Wireless PRO Compact Mic System
For capturing high quality environmental video on the run. This little mic is small, lite, and has some really cool and fun features that makes it a worthwhile piece of equipment to live in your bag!
Audio-Technica ATV-SG1 On-Camera Shotgun Mic
Whlile the Smallrig Tribex has changed my mind about tripods, I typically prefer a monopod for event videos. This is great light weight option that is pack with cool features making it not just a great tool, but fun to use!
IFOOTAGE Monopod
Pelican cases are known for being great camera cases that protect your gear and the dividers keep everything nice and organized. I recommend having at least one of these for bigger projects.
