This festival seems cool. I’ve never gone before but maybe next year. Hundreds of cranes gather at the festival and it’s a spectacular sight.

This national forest is great for outdoor autumn activities. You can hike, bike or even backpack through the mountains.
Mendocino National Forest
November is the best time to visit Death Valley because the temperatures are cooler. It’s also not super crowded, which is nice.

The small town in Julian really gives you the fall feel. They are famous for their apple pies, especially at Julian Pie Company.

Knotts is so fun in fall. During October you can visit Knotts Scary Farm and shortly after that, the holidays start. They have good food and the theme park has a western feel.

Joshua Tree is one of my favorite places to go. It’s nice to go in the fall because it’s not so hot. You have the option to camping you’d like. They have beautiful sunsets!
