An alphabetic list of 20 awesome Substack writers (and two BONUS entries) After a year and a half on Substack I’ve rediscovered some old friends and made lots of new ones. There’s something for everyone. Every interest. Every genre of fiction. Every slice of political thought. And one of my favourite features is (of course?) blocking the trolls, the MAGA nitwits, and the a-holes. In other words, you can very easily tailor your Substack experience to exactly the kind of thing you want to see day after day. But more important than blocking connections from the people you don’t want is building and maintaining connections to the people you DO want. You are not me and I am not you. Self evident? Pretty much. My point being, maybe you won’t feel the same connection to the following 20 (plus TWO) writers I’ve linked to below that I do, and if you don’t, that’s fine. Let this list be your proof that you can find people from all backgrounds, writing about any niche subject, who will enrich your life in the ways that mean something to YOU. And if THESE people do that for you? That’s all for the better.

Shower curtains! When I first started painting shower curtains, more than 15 years ago, it was because I was bored with what I could find in the stores. Through the years the business has evolved, with the pandemic forcing a change of pace but offering a new freedom in what designs I could produce. You probably have a shower curtain, and you probably see it every single day, but do you love it?These shower curtains are all ones that I love. Some are old designs in the classic black and white that seems to fit any bathroom and any color scheme. But most of them are newer designs, with bright colors, uplifting images for these dark times, that invigorate me when I'm feeling down, just by looking at them. These shower curtains are all made in the USA but designed in Canada, so you face no tariffs, no duties, but possibly state taxes. I like LOTS of books. I read (and write) mainly science fiction and fantasy, and I have done for decades. Every so often a book makes a BIG impact. Here are some of the books that have made the biggest impact on ME over the years.

It’s not every day you suddenly turn WAY TOO OLD. So today I’d like to share with you a few things that might make my coming days better in a small way. Links to my ebooks! I don’t often participate in shameless self-promotion. But from time to time, I must. And now is as good a time as any: in honour of my BIRTHDAY! Since 2013 I’ve been sending out into the world the occasional short story, the occasional “Annual” compilation (the “and more” includes poetry, interviews, commentary, and snippets of unpublished stories), and even a collection of “new” short stories ... from 2016. Of course there is also the “Naked Seeds” version of 366 Story Seeds. The “Interrogation” version is coming soon, and I’ll add it to this list when that time comes. I’ve included in this list the SERIES each belongs to, the UNIVERSE each is set in, and the price in USD. I haven’t stopped writing, though. I have LOTS in the pipeline. Also “coming soon”: my novel HINDSIGHT, and the first part of the ongoing serial “The Eternal Art”. These stories are mostly science fiction or fantasy, but not all of them!
