Lake Louisa is great for everything outdoors: trails, horse riding, swimming and hiking. They have rental cabins and even a larger cabin to host events at. Plus its totally peaceful and quiet out there.

Crooked River Preserve is a great, short hike through the woods along the edge of Lake Susan. It's very peaceful as not many people know about it or go there. The view over the lake through the trees is beautiful!

For a short little scenic drive, or a challenging bike ride, go up to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain road. It's the highest point in Lake County. At the top you will get amazing views of Lake Apopka. It's worth the trip!

Waterfront park is a gorgeous stretch of a trail along the shore of Lake Minneola in Clermont. It's great for exercise, watching boats on the lake, enjoying the breeze under the shade of a tree or having a picnic. Holiday events also take place here. My favorite is the Christmas three display at Victory Point.

Restaurants
Salt Shack on the Lake is a great place for a great meal, (my favorite is coconut shrimp), a great drink, and great atmosphere as it is located directly on Lake Minneola and downtown Clermont.

The food is consistently excellent and it feels like a nice place for a relaxed meal out.

I haven't had the pleasure of dining in as of yet. But I did get the tandoori chicken to go and it was divine! To start I had the samosas which were also wonderful I can't wait to go back and eat a meal there!
