The Bride - The Real Keraton Pakem

For brides bored of strapless white dresses. Solo Basahan is modest (full chest and arms covered by black velvet), powerful, and the wrapped dodot is flattering on every body type from size XS-5XL. No corset needed

MUST be 9 for Keraton Solo, not 7. This swaying crown works on any hair texture with its combs. This is your viral moment Traditional Javanese Cunduk Mentul Set, Bridal Hair Jewelry, Cultural Wedding Accessories

Javanese Bridal Crown - Traditional Gold Cunduk Mentul - Javanese Siger Headdress from Indonesia - Handmade Royal Wedding Jewelry
This is the correct 9-piece set for Keraton Solo Basahan, not the 7-piece party version. The real royal set sways when you walk - that's the viral moment. I picked this one because it has comb-backs, so it works on coily, curly, or very fine hair without having to sew into your bun. Count them before you buy: MUST be 9.

For the sacred Tibo Dodo 3-tier back garland. Etsy sellers make it from latex so it never wilts.
For your wedding day, use fresh melati tibo dodo. For your trials, photoshoot, and learning how to walk with Basahan, this latex set is a lifesaver - fresh jasmine dies in 4 hours. I recommend buying 1 latex for practice + ordering fresh for the ceremony. Saves you $100 and stress

THE authentic dodot for Keraton Solo Basahan. This is Sido Mukti in sogan brown - the prosperity motif that means your marriage will thrive. It's NOT a tube sarong, it's a flat 2.5m+ wrap that you drape with help. I picked this tulis (hand-drawn) ver...
The authentic dodot for Keraton Solo Basahan. This is Sido Mukti in sogan brown - the prosperity motif that means your marriage will thrive. It's NOT a tube sarong, it's a flat 2.5m+ wrap that you drape with help. I picked this tulis (hand-drawn) version because the cotton is primissima-soft, so it drapes on all body types and doesn't slip. You need 2 of these to make the full 4.5m dodot ageng. Pro tip: order 2x same motif.

The Groom - The Prince

The true Keraton Solo groom is bare-chested with a 4.5m dodot, not a tux. Most international grooms choose the modest Beskap Landung version I linked below with Trepes Blangkon and Keris Ladrang for comfort while keeping it royal.

Complete set with hewes beskap + jarik sarong + blangkon Solo. For grooms who want an alternative to a tuxedo.
Important: This is Solo PUTRI, not Solo BASAHAN. If you want the true Keraton topless prince look (bare chest + dodot), don't buy a beskap. If you want the modest prince version that most international grooms actually wear to stay comfortable and still look royal, this is the one. Get the Trepes Blangkon version, not the Yogyakarta one

Sacred Rituals Anyone Can Do

My favorite part - every ritual has a universal meaning. Sinduran is like handfasting, Kacar Kucur is prosperity - husband pouring rice and coins to his wife. You can do these anywhere, no need to be Javanese.

This is the REAL thing - a 27cm solid brass bokor (1.6kg) with hand-etched geometric motifs, not a thin souvenir. Traditionally used for sirih and ceremonial offering bowls, this is exactly what you need for Kacar Kucur. Kacar Kucur meaning: The groo...
This is the REAL thing - 27cm solid brass bokor (1.6kg) with hand-etched motifs, not a thin souvenir. For Kacar Kucur: groom pours rice, coins, peanuts, soybeans to bride to show he will provide. 27cm is perfect size - big enough to hold everything but carryable. Line with banana leaf before use for hygiene
