My first cheap hook bent under my mountain bike within a week. These are the ones that stayed put even with a 35-pound bike hanging off them.

When your hallway is three feet wide and you still need to walk through it, vertical storage is the only move that makes sense.

My garage ceiling was doing absolutely nothing while both bikes blocked the lawnmower. A pulley system fixed that problem in about fifteen minutes.

Spent $1,200 on a bike and then watched a bare metal hook leave a scratch on the downtube. Never again.

Drilled into drywall on my first attempt and the whole hook ripped out at 2am with my bike crashing to the floor. Finding the stud matters more than the hook itself.

My partner said wall hooks looked like a garage exploded in our living room. These actually look intentional, like we planned the decor around the bikes.

Moved into a place with exposed brick and realized my wood screws were completely useless. Different walls need different hardware.

Hung the bikes perfectly and then watched dirty tire water drip down the wall and pool on the hardwood. Should've planned for that.

The hooks alone got the bikes up, but a few extra things turned it from functional into a setup that actually makes daily riding easier.
