Started making candles because store-bought ones gave me headaches. First three batches were waxy disasters — then I dialed in these supplies and now people literally ask if I sell them.

Bought my first bag of clay on impulse during a rough week. Had no idea what I was doing but ended up with a little pinch pot that sits on my coffee table — and it's the first thing every guest picks up.

Thought macramé was strictly 1970s grandma territory until I saw one in a friend's apartment that looked genuinely cool. Three YouTube tutorials later, I had a wall hanging that makes my blank wall look like I hired a decorator.

Poured my first resin coaster set because I was tired of water rings on my nightstand. Now those coasters are what everyone notices — one friend called dibs on a set before I even demolded them.

Picked up embroidery during a stretch when my brain wouldn't shut off at night. Finished a small floral hoop, hung it in the hallway, and now it's the thing people stop to look at on their way to the bathroom.

Wanted custom kitchen towels without paying forty dollars each. Carved one stamp, pressed it onto plain linen, and suddenly my kitchen looked like it belonged to someone who has their life together.

Saw a punch needle rug on someone's floor and couldn't stop thinking about it. Made a small one for my entryway and now guests take their shoes off just to feel it with their feet — not even joking.

Found jesmonite after failing at concrete — concrete was heavy, crumbly, and cracked on me twice. Jesmonite dries smooth, takes pigment beautifully, and the terrazzo tray I made lives on my coffee table permanently.

Realized the difference between ‘homemade’ and ‘handmade’ was all in the finishing — sanding, sealing, and displaying things properly turned my projects from craft fair rejects into conversation starters.
