Before I got a proper desk mat, every photo had my scratched-up IKEA desk in the background. One swap and suddenly everything looked intentional instead of chaotic.

Shooting on my bare desk gave everything a sad beige vibe. These surfaces made my weekend photos look like they belonged on a real feed instead of a group chat.

Nothing killed my flat lay motivation faster than overhead apartment lighting turning everything the color of old mustard. Fixed that problem permanently with these.

Holding my phone over my desk with one hand while arranging things with the other was a two-person job I was doing solo. These ended that struggle.

Realized my flat lays looked empty until I scattered interesting stationery around. Now my desk permanently has these out and it actually looks styled even when I'm not shooting.

Had a junk drawer on top of my desk basically. Started containing things in photogenic trays and the mess disappeared while giving me better compositions.

Wanted that lush green corner in every flat lay but killed three succulents in two months. These are the ones that survived my terrible plant parenting.

Started lighting a candle before every Sunday flat lay session and now it's a full ritual. The warm glow also adds depth to photos that overhead light alone can't create.

My morning coffee was already part of the routine so I upgraded the gear to things I'm not embarrassed to photograph. Now the ritual feeds the content naturally.

Flat lays started looking one-dimensional until I stacked things at different heights. These sit on my desk all week and only get rearranged on Sundays.
