This is the core of the whole routine — the actual oils I mix together. Before I started blending these two, I was cycling through lavender sprays that did absolutely nothing for my racing brain at 1 AM.

Learned the hard way that you can't just slap undiluted vetiver on your wrists. After one minor skin reaction that had me googling rashes at 2 AM, I invested in proper carrier oils and rollers.

Vetiver and cedarwood are the backbone, but adding one or two supporting oils took my blend from decent to lights-out effective. Each of these solved a different piece of my insomnia puzzle.

My first diffuser was a cheap one that sounded like a tiny helicopter and leaked water onto my nightstand. After three attempts, these are the ones that run quietly and fill a bedroom without turning it into a swamp.

Some nights I'm too lazy to set up the diffuser and just want to spray something on my pillow and pass out. These work alongside the roller blend or completely on their own when I'm running on fumes.

Discovered that starting the vetiver and cedarwood exposure in the shower instead of just at bedtime gave my brain a longer runway to slow down. Now my whole pre-bed routine smells the same and my body knows what's coming.

Realized the oils were only part of the equation — my bedroom was working against me with bright charging lights, a lumpy pillow, and curtains that let in every streetlight. Fixed these and the blend started working even faster.

Not a doctor, but after my physician okayed a few supplements, combining them with the nightly blend routine cut my time-to-sleep from 45 minutes to under 15. These aren't replacements — they're teammates.

The blend got me falling asleep, but staying consistent with the routine was the harder battle. These helped me actually stick with it instead of abandoning the whole system after one bad night.
