Atlanta is nicknamed “The city in the forest” and for good reason! Theres always plenty to do outside and festivals every weekend
The go-to park with free events and a weekend farmers market. It’s connected to the botanical gardens which is also on this list
Piedmont Park
A surprising amount of people in Atlanta bike and there are plenty of bike paths! Every year Love To Ride has competitions and great giveaways/prizes
Where to ride in Atlanta
I love this farmers market! Its a little expensive but theres other festivals happening in Piedmont Park almost every weekend so its a good way to see what else is going on in the area
Atlanta Farmers Market in Piedmont Park- Green Market
Alot of people use this trail for working out and commuting! I use it everyday- it’s very well maintained and connects to Freedom Park which is serene
Freedom Park Trail — PATH Foundation
16 miles of trail that connects all of Atlanta neighborhoods! There are always restaurants and bars around the Beltline as well as events

Atlantas food scene is finally getting some attention! There is something for everyone in Atlanta and the food markets are truly underrated
Best Pizza in Atlanta with a great happy hour and very cool vibe. Owned by the same people as Stereo which is also on this list. Has outdoor seating and is kid friendly. Individual slices available after 9pm
LLoyd's Restaurant & Lounge
Michelin recommended, afforable, and delicious. The cheesesteak is what they are known for but the Italian Grinder and the turkey sandwich are my personal faves
Fred's Meat & Bread
My favorite sushi spot but it’s expensive. They have bar seating and seating in the back but it’s not always open
Makimono
Its so good I took my mom here when she came to visit! I usually get the Basil Chicken and swap for shrimp
Tyde Tate Kitchen
Reminds me of what youd find in SoCal! It’s a treat, afforable, with great drinks! There are two locations: one is purely outdoor seating (that’s the OG) and the other is inside a brewery
El Tesoro
Delicious with wonderful service! Sit at the bar for a casual meal or make a reservation for a special occasion

Im Greek and its the only greek food Ill eat in Atlanta
Nick's Food To Go
Favorite Tapas spot and completely addicting!! Great for groups and celebrations. Parking is bad tho so uber there or be prepared to pay for lot parking
The Iberian Pig
Need to go in person and get the SPDP!! Ponce City Market is also fun but its fantastic and addicting
Botiwalla by Chai Pani
Another Michelin guide spot! Same owners as Botiwalla and has something for everyone. Get there early- by 5:30/6pm they are packed

Not sure where these recommendations would go- but these are some of my most frequented places! Eating out in Atlanta is more of a marathon than a sprint
Same people that own Lloyds but the coffee is great and they have great vinyl DJ events- I go here to study but also to get coffee with friends
Stereo ATL
I go here every weekend! its one of Anthony Bourdains favorite croissants! There are three locations and each one has a different vibe so try them all
The Little Tart Bakeshop
At Estoria every Tuesday, affordable, and so good! Their agua frescas and mulitas are my go to. I go every other Tuesday
Vice Taco Truck
THE Atlanta ice cream spot- after tacos on Tuesdays I go here for a treat! They have different locations and each location has a different menu which can be found on their Instagram- it’s worth checking before you go
Morelli's Gourmet Ice Cream
Great acai bowls and smoothies; in the same Market as a couple other recs on this list. The food is consistent and fresh and better than Playa Bowls

Atlanta has an incredible arts scene! I did not engage with it for the first couple years I lived here but once I did I met amazing people and had so much fun
Only Drive-In theatre I know of in the area! One of those things everyone needs to do once. They play all sorts of movies from classic to contemporary
Starlight Drive-In Theatre and Flea Market
On Tuesdays, Vice Taco Truck is at Estoria and its delish and cheap! Estoria in general is a bit of an alternative bar with a cool outdoor area. They also have events such as Karaoke throughout the week
97 ESTORIA
Super fun events- they are actually changing locations and will eventually be next to another El Tesoro location. If you are into a more DIY type scene this is where I would start
Cat Eye Creative
Art classes and community events are always offered here. They also are undergoing a massive expansion so it’s only going to get better
The Bakery Atlanta
35mm films, current movies, and classics. Old theatre vibe and cinema heads are found here. Next door is righteous room- a popular bar so go grab dinner and a drink and meet other cinephiles
Plaza Theatre
Trivia and DJ events and community events as well. I will bike here w friends for a coffee and a study session

Mostly farmers markets; I will add more to this! But living in Georgia, we are so lucky to have local produce available all year so take advantage!
Generally fun area so a farmers market is a good way to get introduced. Always have music and solid prices
East Atlanta Village Farmers Market
This is my favorite one hands down! Kid friendly with alot of activities going on as well as food trucks
Grant Park Farmers Market
The only year-round farmers market! Its also located in front of the Jimmy Carter Center which also has events and history
Freedom Farmers Market
A CANT MISS ACTIVITY!! It’s a truly spectacular experience with beluga whales and sharks. It also has a tunnel that’s under one of tanks and weirdly enough they are also known for their fried chicken tenders??

If you have kids you must go to fernbank! It’s by Emory and always has events for kids
