Westfield has a few solid spots, if you’re looking for a laid-back day of golf without leaving town.
Just a good, all-around public course. Easy to get a tee time, fair prices, and it’s a little more forgiving if you’re not a scratch golfer.
East Mountain Country Club
Tighter fairways here, but really pretty. You kind of feel tucked into the trees, which I love when you just want a chill round.
Shaker Farms Country Club
A little more old-school feeling but the layout is fun — you get a nice mix of shorter and longer holes.
Tekoa Country Club
Not a full course — more of a driving range and mini golf situation — but it’s great if you just want to hit some balls or bring the kids.
Mr. Whipy's Golf Acres
Indoor golf spot with simulators — honestly a lifesaver in the winter when you’re itching to swing a club.

West Springfield, MA
If you're over by West Side, there’s not a ton of public options, but the private course here is seriously beautiful.
Definitely a private vibe, but if you get the chance to play here — take it. Course is in awesome shape and the greens are fast.
Springfield Country Club
Agawam, MA + Feeding Hills, MA
Agawam has a few great courses that don’t get super crowded — really nice for casual weekends when you just want to play without the drama.
Solid public course — nothing fancy, but it’s got a good layout with a few fun elevation changes.
Agawam Municipal Golf Course
Private course, but if you know someone (or there’s an open event), it’s worth checking out. Really pretty views from a bunch of holes.
Crestview Country Club
Semi-private but feels pretty casual. Course is in good shape and it’s a fun play — not crazy long, which is nice.
St. Anne Country Club
Probably my favorite public course in this area. Really well-kept, good pace of play, and just a solid place to spend an afternoon.
Oak Ridge Golf Club

Holyoke has a couple of solid golf options that are great for a casual round. Nothing too fancy, but perfect if you're looking to get out and play without venturing too far.
Sits at the base of Mount Tom and offers a classic New England golfing experience.

A 9-hole course that's open to the public, it's a straightforward place to play.
Holyoke Country Club
Longmeadow, MA
Longmeadow feels a little more private-club heavy, but if you can get access, these courses are beautiful — very classic New England golf.
Good public course if you’re looking for something a little more polished without feeling stuffy. Easy to walk, too, which is a bonus.
Twin Hills Country Club
Private — but if you ever get invited here, say yes. It’s a Donald Ross design, so it’s tough but super fun if you like a challenge.
