This list has all spots for French (with a range in the bill) in Boston, MA. Frankly, whatever your vibe, you really can't go wrong with any of these! I was introduced to French food a bit later in my taste pallet - I thought of it as the onion soups...

For the casual grab
Well priced French food in the Beacon Hill area. Good for a post-work, casual but still French-elevated bite.
Ma Maison
Fluffy and perfectly baked crossaints, also love the range of pastries in general. Get there early in the AM as this is a neighborhood gem!
Colette Bakery
Right on Newbury St. and a great option for wine and a snack… say… steak tartare?
Bar à vin 1855
Petit Robert Bistro meets a sweet bakery - and the pastries are phenomenol!! Also, I would recommend snagging a baguette, the bread is amazing but act quick because it's a popular people's choice.
PRB Boulangerie
For the date/gals night
For you and your boo (or your gals) when you don't wanna spend too much money but still enjoy a really nice dinner
I LOVE this place for a good dinner in the summer / fall / spring because of that gorgeous outdoor patio. if you get a rezy, make sure to ask and sit outside. basically it's like being transported to france, the decor is amazing.
Petit Robert Bistro
Batifol has the BEST sancerre wine on their menu. Further, the vibe is super cute inside and connect to their bakery. Highly recommend for a sweet date night
Batifol
Yet another Boston in the heart of Back Bay that wins on the interior (and the food). Perfect for a date night, gals night, and if it's an AM thing, the brunch is also spectacular
Cafe sauvage
Great for an after-work bite, has a nice wine list pairing too. Recommend the escargot, steak tartare, marseille style mussels!
Rochambeau
Highly recommend the brunch and dinner menus (haven't tried that lunch but can also assume it's amazing). Espresso martinis and WOW. If possible, seating outside or in the little courtyard is best, call ahead and request if you know what's good for y...

Can't say enough about the Seared Duck Breast from Aquitaine, it's super flavorful and juicy. I didn't like French food as much until this dish. Honorable mentions would be Moules en Cassoulette, Duck Liver Mousseline, and Belgian Endive Salade.
Aquitaine
Mistral ACTUALLY has some of the best gnocchi I have ever had. I went by recommendation and was swept off my feet. Upscale, luxe, and gorgeous interior.
Mistral
Very old style vibe, with nautical touches. Love the outdoor seating in the summer. The duck is exquisite and the wine selection pairs well.
La Voile
it's luxe, it's date night, it's a fancy evening - it's up up upscale french and the duck is divine
Bistro du Midi
In the heart of Back Bay Boston, right on Mass Ave., Deaxuve houses an outdoor patio (perfect for a glass of wine and some appy's - hint hint the wine menu is amazing) but also a modern menu
