I Love a concept costume. This is cute for when you want to dress up, but don't want it to be too “costumey”. This one has more pieces for the jelly costume, which can be beneficial if one person likes to dress up and the other isn't as into it.
For the peanut butter I would do a brown sweat suit. This could be great if one of you are masc or dont want to wear something out of your comfort zone.
