Favorite Pre/Post Cruise Hotels
Here are some of my favorite pre and post cruise hotels that we and our family have stayed at before or after our cruises

Los Angeles and San Diego
Loved the beauty & classiness of this hotel. Clean, quiet, and a perfect location for those without a car, relying on rideshare. Plenty of restraunts are within walking distance, as well as a Vons for last minute items.
Great hotel for families who have access to a car. Breakfast is included, and free parking. Downside, if no car, you either need to take a long walk across the busy bridge or use rideshare/taxi to go eat or shop for last minute items. Bonus: within w...
Good hotel for pre-cruise. Many places within walking distance to eat. Also, a liquor store to buy wine reasonably. A bit further from the port, so rideshare is a bit more expensive, but the hotel may be less.
Quiet business hotel not too far from the port. No extra amenities, but parking might be free.
Older hotel, but quiet and includes breakfast. Parking was free. Great area to explore if doing a pre or post cruise stay to extend your vacation.

I love the Westin Beds. Best night's sleep ever! It's a great area to stay before a cruise.
Beautiful bayview location. In the heart of the action with plenty of food choices.
Great hotel if you are cruising Princess. Close enough to walk to the World Cruise Center.
Nice hotel on the opposite side of the bridge. Will need a car or spend a bit more on rideshare.
Nice hotel near POSF. Kids stay free. Good area close to port.
New Orleans
Great hotel within walking distance of Carnival Cruise Erato St Pier. Free breakfast. Good options for food near by.
Perfect for families. Free breakfast. Close enough to Carnival Pier to walk if you want. Good size rooms.
Nice hotel close to Carnival Food in walking distance.
Similar to Residence Inn. Includes breakfast. A bit further away from port, but close to all the action of New Orelans.
South Florida
Miami and Fort Lauderdale, FL
Modern hotel not far from Port of Miami. Nice staff. Plenty of food options near by within walking distance
Nice business style hotel close to Port of Miami. Many choices for dining near by.
Modern no frills hotel includes breakfast. Good location, close to Port of Miami
Good location for those with a car. Not far from mall, shops, and places to eat. Cheaper alternative to at the port.
Good option for those with a car. Good for families. Breakfast included. Free parking. Not too far from Port of Miami. Shopping and dining nearby.

Good hotel on the inercoastal. Great option for exploring the area. Not far from Cruise port
Nice upscale hotel in the heart of downtown
4 miles from the Port of Miami. Great with a car. Still have to pay to park, but reasonably priced. Includes breakfast
Daycation: Not a hotel overnight, but a great escape for when you need something to do after a cruise and have a late flight. You can also a Daycation in any city to enjoy the amenities of the hotel.
Norfolk, Virginia
Norfolk, VA close to the cruise port
Very nice hotel within walking distance of the cruise port and lots of food choices. A good place to have your rideshare drop you off before or after your cruise instead of the cruise port.
Alabama
Mobile, Orange Beach, and Foley, AL for the port of Mobile
Perfect hotel for family staying pre or post cruise. Can enjoy the amusement park OWA or any of the other small town amenities of Foley, or nearby Orange Beach and Gulf Shores, which can be a destination in itself!
A bit more basic than the Towe Place Suites down the street, but clean and a decent breakfast
Right across the road from an almost private beach. Can get a ride there in a golf cart. Publix right behind hotel and Walmart nearby. Lots of food. Beautiful hotel for pre or post cruise stay or any time!
