These are the supplies I continually reach for and use every year!
Great for note taking. I tend to save the notes and then transfer them into binders after I'm done. One of these notebooks is super easy to carry around AND has enough space for your classes.
Five Star 5-Subject Spiral Notebook, 200 Sheets, Black & Green, 2 Pack
The colors can be changed, but I love this for on campus and quick access so things don't get ripped or lost in my backpack. One of these lasts years and you can even color coordinate with classes.

BEST notetaking pen. Dries quickly, capable of tiny and large penmanship equally.
Pentel EnerGel Clena 0.4mm Black Gel Pen
Aka the Nursing Pens. These are great to have as a backup pen--they write smoothly and I don't mind if someone ‘borrowing them’ doesn't return them at this price point. Good black ink, easy to read.

My go to pencils in a fun colorway. These are sharpened and on the ready. I love the way they sharpen after using for a while and the notes I take with them are clear long after I've used them.

Great pencil sharpener that won't spill anything in your bag and sharpens a lot. Great colors (you get a surprise) that are easily found in a pencil case or bag.

These are great for the price. I use them for note taking and coloring in for anatomy class. You can just take a few with you and you still have options.

This is great paper to have on hand.
