Good Eats

This was my favorite place to eat on my last trip to Maui.  I was staying next to Whalers village so it was really easy to walk over, order, and eat back in my hotel room.  Great choices of food.  Reasonable prices, especially for Hawaii.  I would highly recommend this to anyone staying on Kaanapali Beach.

This is one of my family's favorite places to eat.  Always good seafood options, and you can't go wrong with a Hula Pie for dessert.  Don't be afraid to share the Hula Pie with the table or keep it for yourself.  Either way you will be happy.  This restaurant also has a great view for sunset if you can work the timing out correctly.

Another great option if you are staying on Ka'anapali Beach.  We generally sit in the outside seating, because why not when you are in paradise.  We will switch it up between appetizers and drinks and full blown meals.  My last trip I really enjoyed the fish tacos with a Maui brewing beer.  With the location in Whaler's Village, it's a very centralized location for people staying near the beach.

Another great restaurant on Kaanapali beach with a great view. Good for both lunch and dinner. Can get very busy during the high season

Amazing choice for breakfast but get there early or you will have to wait in quite a line to get food. Even with the wait, the food is worth it. Also be careful where you park, there are lots of spots that are reserved and not for restaurant visitors

Quite the choice for breakfast. Great selection of pancakes including where you can have pancakes made at your table with a hot griddle in the table. Real good choices of different toppings including fresh options. Do expect a wait during the high se...

Now this isn’t specifically Hawaiian ice cream, it is just good ice cream. Nice easy walk if you’re staying on Kaanapali beach. Good choices of flavors to enjoy while watching the sun set.

The Ocean Center becomes a part of our vacation every time we are on Maui.  The kids and the adults both love seeing all the different sea life and continuing to learn more about Hawaii and the amazing ecosystem of the islands.  It is an easy walk through the exhibits, even with a 2 year old that's not a fan of walking and would rather be carried.  We always schedule an earlier visit to get in before it gets too hot out and to help beat any crowds.  Highly recommend this anytime you are on Maui.

Played the Kai course during my last trip to Maui.  I was paired up with 2 other players and had a great time.  The course is beautiful and challenging.  I learned quickly no matter how the green reads, the ball is going to want to travel towards the Ocean.  The rental clubs were top grade and I swear reduced my score by a few strokes.  When paying for the round, cart and rental, i was given a bucket of balls to hit on the range to warm up.  If you are playing the course, make sure to take a few minutes to grab some beautiful pictures, especially from the middle holes when you are up higher on the mountain.  My next trip I plan to play the Royal course and expect I will have the same wonderful experience.

This is a great option for a wonderful luau in an amazing location near the beach.  We ended up choosing this luau when we were not able to make the scheduling work for the luau at our hotel.  I am so happy this was recommended to us as we had a great experience, enjoyed an amazing show and ate great food.  We were seated at tables next to other groups and were able to have a conversation with others as well as with our group.  This really adds to the Aloha Spirit that is felt while visiting Islands.  Highly recommend.

Great place to go with the kids in you're around Whalers Village.  Especially nice in the middle of a hot day.  Admission is by donation and both of my boys loved going through and learning about the ocean and whaling history.  I highly recommend going on your next trip

Great way to spend your day before heading to the Haleakala summit. I’m not a fan of goat cheese but it was cool to see all the goats and cool decor. If you like goat cheese there are tons of samples to try

My person recommendation is to see the sunset from up here. Most people go in morning, but the evening allows you to avoid getting up at 2 am and you can do other activities prior
