Mary: An Awakening of Terror eBook
Chaney's work harkens back to the classic teen scream books of the 90's like the Fear Street series. He pays homage to RL Stine and Christopher Pike but does it in my opinion, even better than they did. I'd read anything written by him.
Fresh Hell (Autumncrow High): Chaney, Cameron
T. Kingfisher an author that in my mind can do no wrong. This along with The House with Good Bones makes for cozy yet errie horror reading.
What Moves the Dead (Sworn Soldier, 1) - Books
One of the most Unique Haunted House Horrors I've ever read, a fantastic summer read to give you the creeps even in the sun.
The Elementals
A true classic and my favorite read of 2024 you can't go wrong with Octavia but this one feels especially powerful and poignant
Kindred
The book caught me by surprise and charmed me with its beautiful writing and moody atmosphere. Light on the horror but heavy on interesting complexity I can't recommend it enough.
The Unmothers: A Novel
A mind bending story that will have you feeling like a true detective and unable to put it down til you've figured out what the heck is really going on.
We Used to Live Here: A Novel
Cosmic Horror that legit unnerved me which is pretty hard to do given how much horror I read. A must read for Cosmic Horror fans.
Heavy Oceans
A retelling of Steven King's Carrie but with a more close and personal connection to the MC, visceral and emotional it took a classic and improved it. Must Read.
The Weight of Blood
This book is a psycho train wreck of grim sadism and I absolutely could not put it down, horror trash that's so bad it's good.
Maeve Fly
Disgusting and fantastic, Andrew Cull knows how to keep you on the edge of your seat and this short novella is action packed
The Cockroach King
A nearly perfect slasher, simple hack and slasher book for a bloody good time.
This One's Gonna Hurt
This book while not long will stay with you a long time because it is so very creepy. Highly recommend
The Patient
Another slasher novella that is outstanding, it's very fast passed and so fun you'll want to read it all over again soon as you finish.

Based off a No Sleep story this book is considered by many to be one of the most scary and unnerving books around. Not sure I agree but I recommend everyone read it so I can talk to them about it.

Indie author who is top tier, this book feels like a relation to Stephen King's Pet Semetary but with a more interesting twist. A creature feature with class. Read it.
