This past year I have added Flaxseed meal to my diet. Flaxseed provides protein, fiber, omega-3 fatty acids, and essential vitamins and minerals. Flaxseed may help lower the risk of some cancers, maintain a moderate weight, and reduce cholesterol and blood pressure. It has a nutty taste and I have mixed 1 Tbsp into my oatmeal, yogurt, overnight oats, and also used this as an egg substitue in baking - using 1 Tbsp of ground flaxseed with 2.5 Tbsp of water.
