*affiliate links included* A mixture of fiction and nonfiction. But all good reads for my fellow thirty somethings.
Like if Hillbilly Elegy was fiction.
Demon Copperhead
I enjoyed this SO MUCH more than I thought I would. I couldn't put it down.
Sherlock Holmes - The Complete Collection
Honestly had very little understanding of who he was and this was really helpful and insightful.
The Autobiography of Malcolm X
This book broke my heart
I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings
This book was so good. Idk if it's because I lived in Turkey or just because it's that good.
The Island of Missing Trees
I have never rooted for an octopus so hard in my life.
Remarkably Bright Creatures: A Novel
The kind of nonfiction I like to read.
Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents
Not every book needs to be super heavy. This one lives in my mind as the kind of book I could go back and read over and over for the comfort of it.
The Midnight Library
For anyone who has or love someone who has struggled with mental health - a phenomenal read.
Good Morning, Monster: Five Heroic Stories
Hilarious and insightful memoir of a refugee.
Everything Sad Is Untrue
Should probably just read everything by him really.
Talking to Strangers
Big fan. If you read it or have read it comment with your thoughts.
The Coddling of the American Mind: How Good Intentions and Bad Ideas Are Setting Up a Generation for Failure
By our thirties we've all been through some trauma, yeah?
The Body Keeps the Score: Healing Trauma
Why don't I hear about more people reading and loving this book?
Their Eyes Were Watching God
Never read a book like this and loved it. Thought about reading more from her but they wouldn't be this book so I just couldn't bring myself to it...
The Book of Longings: A Novel
One of the best series I've ever read. Fantasy and not romantasy (which I alway enjoy). My husband and I both loved this one and theres even more after the initial trilogy but I recommend starting with it to see if you like it and want to commit to the whole series.
Red Rising 3-Book Box Set with Excerpt
I'm so glad I didn't read this in school or before my thirties because I don't think I would have appreciated or loved it as much as I did. Easily one of my favorite books of all time.
