items Being able to offer any thing to help your soldiers in training be more efficient or more comfortable is huge! This list will help you!
These were my husband’s favorite item I sent him during basic, so many uses!
Ball - Bungee Cords - The Home Depot
The troops are not allowed medicine or candy, but they are allowed cough drops! These were requested in every box I sent!

These are only allowed once leadership approves them, but once they do they are very handy for your soldiers

Your soldiers will spend a decent amount of time in the field. Writing letters really helps them as well as taking notes during instruction being able to do so even when it’s wet makes a big difference.

Your soldier is not always able to take a shower and having wet wipes helps them clean up and feel fresh when out in the field

The trainees have to label a lot of their things with their name so having sharpies readily available is a must

Unfortunately, theft is a very real situation during training so being able to lock up your stuff is imperative. Also, if the cadre catch your locker unlocked, they will throw your stuff all over the ground.
Combination - Padlocks - The Home Depot
Ziploc bags help with organization in their rucks, as well as helping them keep things dry in their pockets when they’re out in the field. I recommend the zipper kind because they are easier for the troops to use when they have gloves on.

Being able to have tissues/use these as toilet paper when needed is very handy
Small Tissue Packs - Target
Basic training is exceedingly hard on the trainees, send as many letters as you can. I wrote a letter every single day. My husband was there, and he wrote me a letter every single day as well. Send notebooks!

They will need envelopes for all the letters. They will want to send home.

I really cannot stress how much your soldier will be missing home while they are gone. I sent a few photos in almost every letter. I sent my husband while he was gone. He said they helped him so so much while he was gone to be strong.

Your soldiers only get their phone usually once a week and plugs are limited. So having a backup battery pack is a game changer.
Portable Cell Phones Charger - Target
Schmidt is highly effective and good for men with sensitive skin. Make sure you include deodorant in your care packages.

Chapstick is a must with all the time your soldier will spend outside, in all kinds of weather

If your soldier is married they will not be allowed to wear their metal wedding bands for safety purposes. My husband still wanting to wear a ring so he requested silicone wedding bands be sent to him. I would send 2-3 in case one gets lost or damage...

These carabiners are heavy duty, locking, and dark colored. I sent them to my husband while he was in and he said they were perfect.
