This is my all time favorite book! The way it’s written is beautifully done considering the sad and depressing content.
Angela's Ashes: A Memoir by Frank McCourt
There is so much you could say about this insane story about the authors life. My notes are that it’s wonderfully crafted, takes you on a such a wild ride that your dysfunctional family can’t even compare.

This is another incredibly sad story based in Boston, includes the mob, drugs & murder.

Bridget Jones's Diary - by Helen Fielding (Paperback)
Again not really a romance fan but the way she wrote about the blurred lines from the main characters point of view was interesting from a writers perspective.
Something Borrowed: A Novel: Emily Giffin - Books
I read this so early on in one of my classes while getting my masters it was hard to find. I remember this being really funny and so on point as I was around the same age as the main character.
