San Diego Zoo
This is one of my favorite beaches to take my kids, there is a huge playground right on the beach, bathrooms and multiple life guard towers. It does get pretty crowded during the summer so plan to get there early if you want to park in the parking lot
La Jolla Shores
We love going to Belmont park! It has a good variety of rides and games for various age groups as well as food options! Plus the beach is right there too!
Belmont Park
The shows are hands down our favorite part! Although the rides are a close second.
SeaWorld San Diego
We've been to children's museums all over the country and this one is truly one of the best!
The New Children’s Museum
This park is tucked away in a neighborhood and is so much fun! There is a big hill kids bring cardboard boxes to slide down. There are no bathrooms though!
Olympus Park
I grew up going to this park, and now take my children all the time as well. It's right on the bay walk path so bring bike/ scooters too
Fanuel Street Park
The perfect way to celebrate the start of summer in San Diego is with freshly picked locally grown strawberries
Carlsbad Strawberry Company
This is another great beach for kids, it has a playground, bathrooms and a snack shake
Moonlight State Beach park
My absolute favorite beach for camping
San Elijo State Beach
Legoland is the perfect amusement park for younger children, especially if you don't want to make the drive to Disneyland. I'd say children 4-13 will enjoy it the most!
LEGOLAND California
Recently remodeled play ground right on the bay!
Tecolote Shores North Park
During low tide walk north of Scripps Pier to reach the tide pools! Just be sure to respect the wild life, touch gently and always put things back where you found them
La Jolla Tide Pools
Tucked away in the mountains is Indian Hills camp. You can pay for the day or plan a camping trip. They hav an epic playground, zipline, bike track and more
Indian Hills Camp
One of the best aquariums I've ever been to! It has several interactive areas for children to explore as well
