3 quick top tips for getting started with your marketing or just refreshing what matters most to you
In Collaboration Business Support Agency on Instagram: "Social media can feel really overwhelming sometimes, especially when you’re trying to juggle actually running your business alongside trying to market it too. There’s constantly advice telling us we need to be doing more… posting more, showing up more, creating more content, being on more platforms. And honestly, I think there’s a point where all of that just becomes noise and leaves you feeling like you’re constantly behind before you’ve even started. I’ve definitely been there myself. Especially over the past year, trying to find my feet again balancing work and motherhood, there have been so many moments where I’ve looked at my own marketing and thought “how on earth am I supposed to keep up with all of this?” 😂 But one of the biggest things I’ve learnt over the years working in marketing is that the businesses people really connect with usually aren’t the ones posting perfectly polished content every single day. They’re the businesses that feel human. The ones where you get a sense of the person behind it. The ones that make you feel something, teach you something or simply make you feel less alone in what you’re experiencing. Some of the posts I’ve connected with people most through have been the really normal, honest ones. The posts written while nap trapped on the sofa. The behind-the-scenes chaos. The moments where I’ve shared lessons I’m still figuring out in real time rather than pretending I’ve mastered everything already. And honestly, making marketing feel easier and more natural has changed so much for me. Repurposing content instead of constantly reinventing the wheel. Letting one good idea become a post, a Story, a LinkedIn post or part of a newsletter. Focusing more on conversations and relationships than trying to chase numbers or keep up with every trend that pops up online. Because at the end of the day, sustainable marketing is what actually matters. There’s no point building a strategy that burns you out after two weeks. I’d genuinely love to know… what’s the part of social media or marketing you find the hardest right now?"
