Of course you have to see at least some of the tourist attractions!
Definitely not off the beaten path, super popular, so get in line early! Take the subway - it's only a block away and you won't have to pay or wait to park. Lots of awesome and affordable food to sample.

The biggest and most well known park in Vancouver, but a definite spot to not miss
Stanley Park
Historic and scenic, though not huge. Definitely take hour or so to explore and munch your way through Gastown. See the steam clock and grab a sip. Easily walkable from Chinatown.

Not afraid of heights - see one of Vancouver's most well know attractions. Get up in the treetops and take a walk!
Capilano Suspension Bridge and Park
Take a cable car up Grouse Mountain for a sweeping view of the city. Just 15 min away and you are in the wilderness! Shuttles are available and if you don't feel like paying, hike up instead.

Check out places that tourists don't usually get to
Vancouver has an amazing trail system - bike or walk to so many great destinations. We started in the middle and visited Finn Slough on one end and the historic fishing village of Steveston on the other.
South Dyke Recreational Trail - City of Richmond, BC
Take a walk down the South Dyke Trail to visit the quaint floating home village of Finn Slough. Remember, it is a neighborhood, so respect the privacy of the residents!

Visit the ‘beach bunnies’ of Canada. Yeah, these feral rabbits don't really belong here, but they are still fun to visit, just don't touch or feed them.

After you've visited the well known Granville, take a 10 minute stroll down to Habitat Island for an in city nature break. Walk over at low tide or hop the stepping stones at high for a quiet getaway, courtesy of the 2010 Winter Olympics.
