Tried six different tapes before landing on ones that stayed on all night without ripping skin off my face in the morning. These four actually work on beards too.

Mouth tape only works if you can actually breathe through your nose. Found that out the hard way when I taped my mouth shut while congested — zero stars, do not recommend.

Before I discovered mouth tape, chin straps were my first attempt. Some looked ridiculous but a couple actually kept my jaw from dropping open at 3am.

Realized my flat, dead pillow was pushing my chin into my chest and closing off my airway. Swapping pillows made almost as big a difference as the tape itself.

Not a miracle cure, but rubbing the right blend under my nose before bed genuinely opened things up. Especially during allergy season when my nose becomes a brick wall.

Didn't believe mouth taping was actually working until I looked at the data. Seeing my deep sleep double on a chart made me a permanent convert.

Winter air dried out my nasal passages so badly that no tape or strip could help. Adding moisture to the bedroom was the missing piece I kept overlooking.

Once breathing was handled, these small additions knocked out the remaining sleep wreckers — light leaks, noise from the street, and my own racing brain at midnight.
