I absolutely love summer time, to me it’s the best season. I love BBQing, laying out in the sun, going to the beach, and most importantly: SWIMMING. Once upon a time I was a personal stylist, and even though I’m in full mom-mode right now, that part of me will never die. Target always has the cutest stuff at a decent price point. I would wear all of these, a new swim suit each day if I could 😜

I’ve loved clothes for as long as I can remember. Retail therapy is MY therapy. I also love telling other people what to buy 🤭 When my oldest son was a baby, I was a personal stylist, and it was the most fun job in the world. My mom says I started dressing myself and coordinating outfits when I was just 3 years old, so I figured I might as well make some money from it. None of my kids have followed in my footsteps (yet). In our house, Easter is almost like a second Christmas. The kids usually get quite a few small gifts, we dye eggs, do an easter egg hunt, go to church, have a family brunch. I've rounded up some of my favorites for Easter baskets, for boys and girls of all ages. Between the candy, books, crafts and wearables, there’s something for everyone.

I've been wearing glasses since I was 12 and I love that I can use them as an accessory and add dimension to my outfits and day-to-day looks. I've exclusively purchased prescription glasses and sunglasses from Warby Parker for the past five years or so, because I love the quality, versatility, and amazing selection. Did you know Warby Parker glasses and sunglasses are available prescription-free? Even if you don’t *need* glasses, you can still buy cute frames to dress up your outfits (or hide the bags under your eyes). You can get I also love that they constantly change the styles and follow the trends, while keeping some more classic shapes available. The biggest thing I love is that I can order a selection of frames to try on at home, and send back the ones that don't suit me. It's a game changer for me since I rarely have free time to go into the store. My go-to frame is tortoise shell; it's important to choose a style and color that suits your features. I’m an Amazon fiend, mostly because I can never leave the house with 4 young children. One thing that’s super important to me is to keep plastic out of my kitchen as much as I can. These are the items I use every day in my kitchen. They’re toxin-free, BPA free, and free from other hormone-disrupting chemicals. Here you’ll find wood, stainless steel, cast iron, glass, basically everything but plastic.

Did you know that children should be playing outside for at least one hour every day? Did you know that most children in the US don’t come anywhere close to that goal? There’s a common saying in Scandinavian countries: “there is no bad weather, only bad clothing.” Don’t let a little rain stop your kids from enjoying the great outdoors. My kids attend a nature school where they play outside, rain or shine. These are the brands and items that I consider our favorite rain gear that we’ve relied on over the years, I’ve sourced them into a shoppable list. Here you’ll find waterproof rain coats (or rain jackets depending on where you’re from), rain bibs, rain pants, umbrellas, rain boots, and rain suits. Quality rain gear is a necessity for us, and these pieces have held up their end of the bargain.

I believe children should be outside as much as they can, which is why I prioritize having quality outdoor toys and activities for them to enjoy year-round. Whether your outdoor space is big or small, it doesn’t matter. Exposure to fresh air and sunshine does everyone a little good.

Music is so incredibly important for children’s development. Not just listening to music, but playing and creating music. Learning to use the instruments allows them to exercise a part of their brains they don’t normally use. When they create music and experiment with different instruments, sounds, styles, and tempos, it allows their brains and their musical abilities to increase. Exposing them to music at an early age will benefit them more than you can know. It’s been researched extensively. And lastly, it’s fun! Making music with your babies will provide so many beautiful memories.

When my oldest was 2, I made the decision to move all of his toys out of his room because he would play at nap time instead of actually nap. He hated it, I loved it. Ever since, we’ve had a designated room or area of the house where the toys, books, and games for the kids “live.” It cuts down on toys being everywhere in the house and keeps their rooms (a little bit) cleaner. As my family has grown, so has the “toy situation.” We have literally hundreds of toys (thanks, Grandma and Grandpa). I keep them in big bins and do toy rotations every 2 weeks, where only about 8-10 toys are out for that rotation. Sometimes my kids make requests, but most of the time I’m just putting things out that I know they’ll enjoy or that they haven’t played with in a while. This simplifies things and allows my kids to get deeper play out of their toys.

I think kids rooms should be fun and full of personality! I have 4 kids, a lot of these items are in our kids bedrooms, some of them are wishlist items I would buy (if I had the space and money 😜). I have a separate list for things we have in our toy room.

I’ve learned a lot over seven years and four kids. One rule I don’t bend is buying only natural fibers for my kids and (my) bedding. More and more research is coming out about the dangers of plastic to our bodies, and children’s bodies are the most sensitive and vulnerable. Since they can’t make decisions for themselves, it’s our job to do what’s best for them. Here’s a list of things you’ll find in my linen closet for my angel babies 😇👼🏻
