Tiny Champions
Delicious family-owned homemade Vietnamese food restaurant and great urban vibe!
Huynh Restaurant
The BEST hot dog in Houston.. it is a one-of-a-kind experience! There are now multiple locations. I used to only be able to get them outside of 8th Wonder Brewery on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 8:00pm - 3:00am (yes.. late!). Check instagram for their stories and current status on that location. They have a location inside of POST Houston and also a small spot on Washington Ave. There is no inside seating at the Washington Ave location, but they are open til 12:00am Mon-Thurs. On Fridays and Saturdays they are open til 2:00am!
YoYo's Hotdog
Great Bahn Mi Sandwiches… A+++ rating on the bread! My personal fave is the Lemon Pepper Crispy Tofu Bahn Mi. What sets Roostar apart from other fast casual Vietnamese sandwich spots is definitely the bread. It is perfectly crispy and flaky on the outside and light and fluffy like a cloud on the inside.
Roostar Vietnamese Grill
Fantastic hot dog! Moon Tower Inn is outdoors with a laid back dive bar feel to it. Live music and the best hot dogs and burgers around! I always get the Thunderfrank but there are so many choices such as lamb, deer, rabbit, and several more. Definitely a place to sit back, listen to music, eat delicious food, and drink cold drinks. Try it!
Moon Tower Inn
Check out this casual neighborhood Mexican eatery! It is located in the East End in the Lawndale area. It was founded in 2016 by immigrant chef Victoria Elizondo. It began under a tent and has since grown into a James Beard Semifinalist and Culture Map Chef of the Year nominee, known for vibrant, authentic Mexican food made from scratch with fresh ing... I used to buy their DELICIOUS homemade tortilla chips and salsa at the Heights Mercantile Farmers Market and on a whim one day I decided to eat at the restaurant. Now I wonder why I waited so long to try this! I ordered chicken quesadillas and they so so good! I heard their breakfast is amazing and hope to try that sometime also. The parking lot is very small but there is the post office across the street that has plenty of parking as well as street parking on the sides. I am telling you.. this is a hidden gem!!
