I moved to Detroit when my husband and I were starting to get serious. He used to live right next to Comerica Park—back in the day, I could just say “the building with the whales on it,” but sadly, that mural has since been covered up. A few years before we we got married, he bought our first home in the Woodbridge neighborhood, and now we’re living in a beautiful 1890s Victorian in Midtown.
