Devenish or Devinish (from Irish: Daimhinis, meaning 'ox island') is an island in Lower Lough Erne, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. Aligned roughly north–south, it is about one and a quarter miles (2 km) long and two-thirds of a mile (1 km) wide. The main place to catch a ferry to the island is at Trory Point, just outside Enniskillen. Devenish Island is owned by the Kilravock Christian Trust

As a fan of Forensic Science / Crime novels I would totally recommend the novels of Casey Hill featuring the CSI scientist Reilly Steel, in my view a must read series of books. Casey Hill is the pseudonym of USA Today bestselling husband and wife writing team, Kevin and Melissa Hill. They live in County Wicklow in Ireland.
