A beautiful scenic trail that goes around an island where the Spanish first erected a cross after discovering humboldt bay

A unique location with some great trails and attractions. Lots of amazing unique trees, a skywalk, a gondola ride to the top of the mountain, and a very tall suprise statue in the parking lot that you need to see.

The triathlon of the art world. Teams run human powered vehicles while traversing multiple types of terrain over several days. The finish line is on mainstreetferndale. A must see for memorial day weekend.

From hospitality night, to the lighted tractor parade on mainstreet, to the tree lighting, December in Ferndale is a great month to visit and experience the charm of this small town. The entire town gets decorated.

Ferndale was the filming location for the town of Ceder Creek from the movie outbreak. Lots of locals were in this film and you will recognize a lot of buildings ftom the movie when you visit.

Ferndale was the filming location for the movie The Majestic as the town of Lawton. The film is about an actor that gets in an accident, has amnesia, then ends up in a small town where he is mistaken for local missing war hero.
