We’re one of the few states with a zoo this big that’s free admission! My kids love coming here and they do fun holiday events too!
Henry Villas Zoo
Activities cost money here but admission inside is Free & my kids love to play on the playground here. Their apple doughnuts are so good!

This is an awesome indoor park that is FREE! my kids love to climb and play in the basketball court.
Lakeland Park | Lakeland Community Church
Amazing set up for kids! (They do a reading for children on Mondays too) they have so many activities for children set up though in the children’s section of the library! My kids love going there on rainy days!
Hedberg Public Library
We came here with my kids after soccer practice to cool off on a really hot day in the summer. They had a blast at the splash pad!

Super fun in the summer! Walking around downtown, seeing the capitol and getting to try local produce and goods. Make sure to bring a stroller or wagon!
Dane County Farmers Market Late Winter
Another really good farmers market that has grown so much in the last few years! (There is a fun train for the kids to ride that cost a few $ too!) so many vendors here!
Downtown Beloit Farmers Market
This is one of the most beautiful playgrounds in Wisconsin. It’s on the river and has beautiful views. It’s gated, and there are water features throughout the playground. Pavilions with restrooms and water fountains are super close too.
Turtle Island Playground
So pretty! My daughter and I walked around in here for over an hour. Great way to teach kids about plants and flowers!
Olbrich Botanical Gardens
Thursdays (4-8pm) there is free admission! Such a fun place for the kids! Great spot for the kids to be creative.
Madison Children's Museum
The first THURSDAY of every month is a free day at the Milwaukee Public museum. Fun spot for bad weather days.
