My baking WAS terrible. I purchased this very mixer and my husband laughed, that was all I needed to spark my “I'll show you” attitude. This mixer really set me off on my baking journey, I poured into cookbooks, watched hours of videos and guess what? My husband was very impressed. I was able to make perfect macrons, the perfect butter cream frostings, genache. I even baked my sister-in-laws wedding cake. Yes I make homemade sausage too. I don't do it often, mostly around the holidays. My grandmother's family would make homemade sausage when I was a kid and it was very hard work. This tool simplifys the process and helps me to keep a family tradition alive. Another fine accessory for the Kitchenaid stand mixer. My grandmother and her sisters would make batches of Portuguese Sweet Bread every Easter. They did everything by hand and their bread always came out phenomenal. My grandmother didn't write down any recipes but verbally gave me the list of ingredients and explained the process. It took me 3 years to get it just right. I don't think I could have done it without the help of this tool to help me knead the dough.
