I remember a time when I was much younger, and slimming lotions or body massagers were completely off my radar – I simply didn’t need them. Unfortunately, coloring, especially lightening, always causes some damage. I needed something to repair my hair, treat the damage, and prevent more from happening. Over the past 18 months, hormonal changes have also taken a toll on my hair. It has started thinning, becoming fuzzier and more tangled after washing. Without a heavy-duty conditioner and leave-in treatment, detangling is nearly impossible without causing breakage and damage. My hairdresser recommended “It’s a Ten” as a fantastic, salon-quality yet affordable treatment. Also included in this section is my favorite semi-permanent hair color (Artic Fox) - a product you simply have to try for yourself! 🌸

December of 2023 took us to New Orleans, LA. What an extraordinary place to visit! One of the highlights of this trip was enjoying one of the iconic treats that New Orleans has to offer, a Beignet from Café Du Monde! The Coffee Stand which was first opened in 1862 in the French Market, is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and only closes on Christmas Day or when a Hurricane passes too close to New Orleans. Beignets which are French styled donuts served hot and luxuriously coated with powdered sugar is a not-to-be-missed treat while visiting the French Market. FYI, just be careful when enjoying these treats or you might end up looking like me in the picture above. After enjoying your Beignets, don’t forget to take a stroll through Jackson Square to the Flea Market at the end of Esplanade Avenue. Here you will find everything from live performances, arts & crafts to souvenirs and more. Top of your adventure while popping in and out of all the restaurants, bars and funky little clothing, gifts and voodoo shops on Bourbon Street. I hope you are open to trying some of the local cuisine, I’m glad that we did!

In early May 2025, we visited Austin, primarily to see Billy Idol live in concert at the Moody Center. Though our stay in this vibrant city was brief, lasting only two days, I found it incredibly captivating. We stayed at the Orangewood Inn, conveniently located near the Moody Center, making it an excellent choice for live entertainment enthusiasts. For dining, I must highlight Nando's, known for its Portuguese-style flame-grilled chicken, and Dish Society, which offers a variety of delectable dishes to savor! 🌆
