Great museum. Do-able in a few hours. My favorite is the contemporary section
SMK – Statens Museum for Kunst
Located in Kongens Have which is a lovely park, this small castle houses Denmark’s Crown Jewels. Guided tours available
Rosenborg Castle
Hands down my favorite art museum. Rotating Contemporary exhibits housed in an old church
Nikolaj Kunsthal
The winter garden is not to be missed. Great place to relax. Nice museum
Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek
A great contemporary art museum. A little bit outside Copenhagen but you can get there by train and bus
ARKEN Museum of Contemporary Art
If you enjoy design you will love this museum
Designmuseum Danmark
Great department store near city center. Small grocery store in the lower level
Magasin du Nord
Definitely a higher end department store. My favorite spot is the top floor. There’s an entrance on the side that takes you to the elevator that goes straight to the top floor. Fantastic Italian restaurant up there.
ILLUM
A winding walk up to the top where you’ll find 360 views of the city
The Round Tower
If you’re brave… but the ticket to walk to the top where you’ll have a beautiful view. The last bit of stairs is on the OUTSIDE of the spire.
Church of Our Saviour - Visit Copenhagen
One of my favorite places! It’s funky and colorful. I like to explore Den Grønne Genbrugs Hal in the big green barn. You’ll never know what you’ll find in there.
Lunch in the open cafe area is great. There’s also a good vegan restaurant. Don’t miss ...
Freetown Christiania
I LOVE this place. It’s huge! There’s an entrance fee (it’s a couple bucks) but well worth it. I’ve bought things every single time I’ve been in there. Tons of rooms to explore. Everything from vintage clothes to old hardware, lighting and china.
The Blue Hall, Antiques
One of the oldest amusement parks in the world.. there are rides but as a non ride person it was still worth it for me to visit.
Beautiful gardens. Excellent food
Tivoli Gardens
Outside of Copenhagen but an easy train ride it is well worth the trip. Fantastic museum with an amazing gift shop. Beautiful grounds
Louisiana Museum of Modern Art
Consists of two food halls right next to each other. You can grab and go. There are plenty of tables or you can go across the street and grab a table at the park. Some of my fave empanadas

Mikkeller Warpigs Brewpub
Located outside Copenhagen but a super easy train ride it is a large and beautiful castle. Worth it. And the town itself is cute
Frederiksborg Castle

Palmehuset
Great atmosphere. We had a couples massage and then freely rotated between the different pools for a couple hours. Highly recommend if want need to unwind with a unique experience
Aire
Another great museum. Best way to get there is to take the water taxi to reffen and walk over to the museum.
Copenhagen Contemporary
Unique underground art exhibit. It’s amazing!!
Cisterns in Søndermarken
An urban ski slope built on an energy plant. You don’t even have to ski to enjoy it. We walked all the way up to the top to take in the views and grab a bite at the cafe
Visit CopenHill and get the best view of Copenhagen
Smaller than Reffen but more centrally located at the base of the Kissing Bridge. Great spot to eat or grab a beer
Street Food in the heart of Copenhagen - Broens Street Food
One of my favorite places for second hand clothes. There is some home decor also but the majority is clothing. Decent prices (for Copenhagen), vast assortment. Accepts credit cards

Craft beer! Need I say more? Excellent selection with seasonal tap rotation
