What to Wear in the Great Outdoors
MOST comfortable shoes I've ever worn! Hiking, walking, running, shopping… whatever you're doing, these are the shoes for you. Plenty of support, nice grip on slick or uneven ground, and this beautiful cushioning effect that doesn't leave you with tired, aching feet after a few miles like some others do. A little pricey, but Bass Pro often has great sales!
Hoka Speedgoat 5 Trail Running Shoes for Ladies
Sturdy, comfortable, breathable, supportive, and that cushion! My husband's favorite hiking, running, walking, or just out for the day shoes. Now that we've found Hoka's, we're never going back to anything else!
Hoka Anacapa Breeze Low Hiking Shoes for Men
These pants are comfortable AND sturdy, thicker, but breathable, and have a nice give when bending or squatting, without stretching out or wrinkling. GREAT pants for hiking, camping, or day to day wear. I rarely buy a pair of clothing that's more than $40, but these were a worthwhile purchase for my husband!
Under Armour Enduro Elite Flat-Front Pants for Men
I don't go hiking without a turtle! When it's hot, it stays around my neck to protect it from the sun. When it's icy cold, it's perfect to go over my mouth and nose to keep them from freezing. When the wind is just howling, it goes over my head and ears to protect them from the wind an... Lots of colors to choose from, but we stick with black and gray :)
Turtle Fur Adult Comfort Shell Totally Tubular Neck Gaiter, Navy
WARM leggings for coooold mornings! These fleece lined leggings have been really nice for those cold camping mornings going out for a walk when the sun is coming up and that morning is still a *liiiitle* too brisk. You can wear them alone or under pants without it being too bulky. Recently wore these under a pair of yoga pants out in the snow and stayed comfortably warm!

Step in and GO! My Slip Ins are perfect for keeping next to the tent at night to step right into when you need to go investigate wild animal sounds (like a bear in the site, true story), get a drink of water, or go water the nearby trees…. Or in less nature related news, these are incredibly comfortable shoes for just day-to-day wear!

Sleeping under the stars, baby!
Probably our most $$ camping purchase, but my gosh SO WORTH IT! When we bought our Tahoe, we brought a measuring tape with us to the dealership to make sure the HEST Dually mattress fit in the back. This is THE MATTRESS for sleeping in a tent, in your Tahoe or Burb with the third row down, or in the front room for unexpected company. We opted for the WIDE and have found it roomy and pretty dang comfortable. After years of waking up in the middle of the night on the ground after an air mattress leaked out in the middle of the night, we're never going back.

Keeps your stuff COLD! Seriously, we've had so many coolers filled with food and ICE that quickly turns to food floating in water. The YETI Tundra cooler holds that cold in for days! Sturdy and latches up tight. Our YETI cooler survived a curious bear encounter recently with a few scratches but otherwise unharmed!

LOVE these stainless steel water bottles! They keep my water COLD, don't leak, and come with both the straw top and the sip top. After I bought myself one, I had to buy one for everyone in my family! Definitely a must have!
IRON FLASK 40oz Stainless Steel Wide Mouth Hydration Bottle with Flex Straw Lid Dark Pine: Insulated Water Bottle
Bathroom tote, so you're never stuck without toilet paper or hand soap! I stock mine with hand sanitizer, hand soap, a hand towel, and a roll of toilet paper. We keep it hanging on the easy-up so it's easy to grab on the way to the bathroom. Even if the rest of your body is dirty, muddy, stinky, campfire smoke smelling, and three days without a shower, at least your hands are clean!
Mesh Shower Caddy Gray - Room Essentials™
Dish tubs! Get TWO! Doing dishes at the campsite can be a little inconvenient, but these tubs make it a little easier! We heat water on the camp stove and fill one tub with hot, soapy water, and the other with water to rinse. When we're doing, we dry them out, collapse, and stick in the storage bins or Bear Box. Easy peasy!
Your ultimate hiking backpack! Love this backpack for our longer hikes. More than enough space for everything you need for an all day hike, with multiple deep sections, side mesh pockets for water bottles or what have you, which is handy when you are packing almond butter and bana... SALE! Get this backpack before the 3/24! This is labeled as a “women's” backpack, but that's only because of the placement of the sternum and waist straps, and can truly be worn by anyone. Deep, padded sections, side mesh pockets, padded shoulder straps, and so much room for everything you need! Comfortable, functional, and sturdy!

LIGHT up the NIGHT! These lanterns are SO handy to have while camping, or, as we have also found lately, when the wind or rain deluge knocks the power out for days at a time. The lanterns have a stand or can hang or be carried by a handle. The lithiu... These are bright, but can be dimmed as well. Seriously, don't go out into the dark without them!

Finally, a tent that doesn't suck at a great price! Open and airy, easy to put up and take down, lets the cool air in, but also stays warm enough at night. The zipper is pretty sturdy - none of that ridiculous getting stuck every two inches trying to... Since the weather is so wonky lately, it's worth mentioning this tent is really sturdy in the wind and doesn't leak in the rain!

Coffee + Camping = Happiness! We use this percolator to make our morning coffee when camping. It's easy! Fill it with water, add course grounds to the filter area, put the lid on, and bring the percolator to a boil, and let it do its thing for a few. I recommend pouring your coffee through a filter in case any grounds make their way through.
