Great place to walk around/drive around. I love the koi fish by the casino. There’s also an aquarium and a zoo on the island.
Belle Isle Park | Michigan
My favorite Detroit style deep dish! They have tons of different rotating flavors.
Grandma Bob's Pizza
The best mall in the area! Both sides have a bunch of options and connect with a skywalk.
Somerset Collection
My favorite Andiamo location! Great food and I love that it has great views but the riverfront.
Andiamo Detroit Riverfront
Great boutique for jeans. More high quality/department store labels than just typical boutique clothing.
Caruso Caruso
My favorite bakery, they have the best cake!
For the Love of Sugar
Check for hours + events going on before going. Hidden gem! Saunas, pools, etc.
The Schvitz Health Club
Great zoo! Lots of animals that prefer cold climates you won’t see elsewhere. Royal oak is also a great neighborhood to walk around.
Detroit Zoo
A classic! Food is also incredible.
Pegasus Taverna
They do great color, but I love getting a quick blowout when I’m back in town.
Bianchi's Salon of Royal Oak
Check before going since they have a rotating selection of flavors. I’ve loved everything I’ve tried!

Detroit Shipping Company
My favorite hotel to stay in when I go back. In the middle of everything - and not too far from the airport. Access to the suburbs and the city + there is a Coney Island across the parking lot.
The Westin Southfield Detroit
Great food - also becomes more of a club/bar in the evenings. They have lots of events.
Mon Jin Lau
This is a fun day trip! It’s not too far from metro Detroit. German style town with lots of great food options (known for fried chicken!) and has the world’s largest Christmas store.
Frankenmuth Michigan
They do super affordable chemical peels! Right by the airport.
Abbasi Dermatology
Food and smoothies are incredible. Everything is healthy and worth the $$. The staff is also great!
Cacao Tree Café
The best sandwiches I’ve ever had - love this place.
Oak House Deli
If you’re in town during eastern market - it’s such a great place to walk around and try new foods.
