items I love supporting small businesses around the United States. When I travel, I always prefer the small shops where you can contribute to the local economy. This list is a compilation of some of my favorites from around the country (I know there are many, many more.). I enjoy bookstores, pottery, farms, birds and gardens and boutiques so that is what you will find here. I know you will enjoy visiting any of these shops.

Unique little book store with a small eatery attached in Georgetown, Texas.
Lark & Owl Booksellers
This is literally my favorite bookstore anywhere but it just happens to be in Pella, Iowa. Such a unique vibe and unique inventory. Even if you are not in the mood for a book, the shop itself is a fun place to visit.

Super fun place outside Georgetown, Texas that has activities for the whole family and a little store. The kids will especially enjoy the activities.

I love this rose emporium in Brenham, Texas because they carry so many of the old rose varieties which I love to use in my garden. You can even order online.
