A lot of walking ! But the waterfalls are beautiful! Recommended going right after it rains

Close to starved rock! But way better in my opinion ! Less walking and the stepping stones over the water are awesome!
Matthiessen State Park
Have been going here since I was a kid! Great hiking trails with fun obstacle course things for kids to do along the way ! They also have a birds of prey area where they rehabilitate birds that have been hurt !
Atwood Park
Has everything ! Camping, kayak/ canoe rentals , fishing , and good hiking paths
Rock Cut State Park
Great walking path and play ground !
Blackhawk Springs Forest Preserve
Beautiful scenery! A lot of stairs but worth it !
Kishwaukee Gorge North
So pretty! Greta hiking and swimming spot !
Devil's Lake State Park - Wisconsin DNR
