My kids’ favorite places!
There are a few places that are our go-tos when the kids are “bored.”
My kiddos love this place! There are multiple levels of hands on learning activities and fun! They even have a theatre with 4D showings! You can also bundle a membership with the zoo!
Kentucky Science Center
Bundle a membership with the Science Center and you can have endless family fun! We love this zoo! They also do a lot of special events including Boo at the Zoo!
Louisville Zoo
We spend at least a couple of days a week during the summer here and love it! Season passes are pretty affordable as well!
Kentucky Kingdom Theme & Water Park
This is a great option to get the kiddos' energy out on a rainy day. You can get a membership for a great low price!
Sky Zone Trampoline Park
Family Food Faves
We tend to stick to chain restaurants but we venture to local places occassionally.
Believe it or not, this place has GREAT food for kids and adults! Absolutely delicious and a short walk from the Kentucky Science Center.
Mussel & Burger Bar | American Restaurant in Louisville, KY
Mom likes this candy store just as much, if not more than, the kiddos! They have a HUGE variety of their gummy bears as well as a large selection of other candies.
Lolli and Pops: Lolli & Pops | Candy, Gummies, Chocolates, and Gifts
Went here for my sister's birthday with our family and it was DELICIOUS! Great options for everyone and delicious deserts to finish!
80/20 @ Kaelin's Restaurant
If you want authentic Louisville and love candy, check out this artisan chocolate shop. They have Kentucky bourbon chocolates as well as other beautifully crafter chocolate candies, etc.

Here are a few places we love to go on nicer days!
A family favorite! Totally free and connects to downtown Jeffersonville, IN. On the Louisville side there is a great playground and splash pad! You will also find pedal cars in the summer you can rent!
Big Four Bridge
This is such a cool place! Free to enter the park. Beautiful scenery, you can go down to the water's edge (if careful) and there is a walking trail that connects to the Greenway trails.
Falls of the Ohio State Park
Great trails for walking or riding bikes! Beautiful in the fall!
Beargrass Creek Greenway Project - LouisvilleKY.gov
This is a great place to visit if the weather is nice. They also showcase the “Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular” at Halloween which has become a tradition for our family!
Iroquois Park

Some days we need a little retail therapy!
This outdoor outlet mall is great for the entire family! The directory of stores is very extensive!
