I lost two blankets to the wind before I found clips that grip properly. These don't pop off when your kid kicks, which was my whole problem.

Not all blankets work well with clips. Some are too slippery, some bunch up weird. These four cooperated perfectly with every clip I tried.

Some days clips and blankets aren't enough. When the wind is sideways and your baby is giving you that look, a full cover saves the walk.

Once you solve the blanket problem, you realize your hands are still full of bags and cups. These freed up my hands so I could actually steer.

Spilled an iced latte onto my sleeping baby exactly once. That was enough motivation to find cup holders that actually hold things.

Nobody talks about how cold your hands get pushing a stroller for 45 minutes. My fingers went numb on exactly one walk before I fixed this permanently.

A blanket handles the top half. But my daughter's feet were ice cubes until I discovered footmuffs exist. Life before and after was dramatically different.

Daylight savings ended and suddenly my 4pm walk was pitch black. Cars couldn't see us. I panicked and bought lights that same night.

Got caught in a downpour exactly once without any rain gear. Sprinted home pushing a screaming, soaked baby. Never again.

Around 11 months my son started demanding snacks every eight minutes on walks. Loose Cheerios in the cup holder was a disaster I only tried once.

Carrying a diaper bag on my shoulder while pushing a stroller gave me back pain within a week. Clipping everything to the stroller changed my posture and my mood.

Mud on the wheels, drool on the fabric, mystery stains on the seat. Every walk ends with some kind of mess and these made cleanup take two minutes instead of twenty.
