Every list like this is subjective and I'm sure if I was to decide this list in a few weeks I would probably have different albums in here - but here goes..

My favourite Deep Purple album with Ritchie Blackmore - from rock to even a country style song, this album highlights the range of styles the band could play and all of it underwritten by Blackmore's distinctive guitar.

This also come high up on any list of greatest rock albums and rightly so. Blackmore lined up with the incredible Ronnie James Dio, the dynamic Cozy Powell and not forgetting Jimmy Bain and Tony Carey this is one of the best rock albums of all time. The B side with Stargazer and A Light in the Black highlight the best of classic rock.
Rising (Rainbow album)
This album shows how powerful Rainbow were as a live band. Powerfully recreating songs from Rainbows then catalogue it highlights not only Blackmore's skill but also the backing of an extremely talented band.
On Stage (Rainbow album)
With Ronnie James Dio gone, Blackmore aimed for a more commercial sound and brought the powerful voice of Graham Bonnet into the band as well as introducing former Deep Purple bassist Roger Glover. More commercial sound but still distinctively Blackmore on guitar.

The first Raimbow album with Blackmore basically backed by Ronnie James Dio's bankd Elf. It provides a great insight into how the band was going to develop.

A bit of an odd one here but still worth listening to Blackmore playing more straight rock and roll style along with guitarists Albert Lee and Big Jim Sullivan.

Ritchie's first album as Blackmore's Night, featuring his wife Candice Night as the lead singer. A slower pace but still some great guitar work from Ritchie.
