Topanga isn't just known for hipsters and music. You will find some great surfing, hiking and art installations.
Topanga State Park: Start at Trippet Ranch. Try the Eagle Rock Loop for amazing views (4.2 miles) or the shady Musch Trail for something mellow. No dogs on trails, but great picnic spots. Check trail closures here.
