This is all of my go-to stuff for live performance and studio recording. We're a two person band on a budget, but we like to get the good stuff where and when we can.

Solid State Logic SSL 2+ MKII USB-C Audio Interface
These condenser mics are affordable and punch way above their price point for sound quality
MXL 770 Large-diaphragm Condenser Microphone
My studio DAW. It does everything I need it to do and then some. User interface is intuitive and beautiful. It's a reasonable price and no subscription fees.
Logic Pro for Mac
This software is free and they're constantly updating it. If you're recording live instruments and vocals and need a basic DAW with no fluff, this one is awesome.
Audacity
Simple and effective studio monitors for sound playback while recording.
PreSonus Eris 3.5BT 3.5-inch Powered Bluetooth Studio Monitors - 2nd Generation, Black
These sit under studio monitors to reduce rumble and bass vibrations. They work great for small monitors.
Gator Studio Monitor Isolation Pads - Small
Have several of these to hold condenser mics around the studio for recording, live streaming, podcasting, etc. They're sturdy and easy to set up.
InnoGear Boom Arm Mic Stand for Blue Yeti
We have the mac mini M1 as our music production computer. It handles DAW programs and live recording without any problems. Never crashes, never disappoints. The M1 is considered old now apparently, so here's the latest version of it.
Apple - Mac mini Desktop - Latest Model - M4 chip - Built for Apple Intelligence - 16GB Memory - 512GB SSD - Silver
There are more expensive headphones out there for sure, but these get the job done. I use these for mixing our songs and they produce a nice clear and well balanced sound.
Sennheiser HD 280 Pro Studio Headphones
Our Live Performance Essentials
Everything we take out to shows and live performances. We mostly play small to medium venues and outdoor shows.
We use this amp for live performance and it's plenty loud for most small to medium venues. We use it outside with no problems as well. We can both plug into it and it has some built in effects.
Boss Acoustic Singer Live 60-watt 1 x 6.5-inch Acoustic Guitar Amplifier
When you need to make your acoustic guitar plug into amps and usb interfaces, and it has no built in jack, this is a great option for a pickup.
Fishman Neo-D Acoustic Soundhole Humbucker Pickup
This thing is way too much fun and does more than we even need it to! The price is unbeatable for what this is. It has nice built in speakers and also line out to run to an amp or PA. You can use a flash drive to play tracks and it has a built in sam...
My vocal mic for live performance and virtual (streaming) performances. It has good low end to balance voices that are on the higher end frequency spectrum. It's not muffled either, vocals cut through the mix nicely with this.
Audix OM2 Hypercardioid Dynamic Vocal Microphone
I used one of these for many many years doing live shows every weekend, and in my opinion it's been one of the best mics available for decades. I switched to the Audix OM2 only because it adds more low-end to my vocals, but I just might go back to th...
This one is a wee bit more affordable than the BETA 58 mic from Shure, but that's not why it's on the list. My husband uses this legendary mic for his vocals at live shows, and he likes the on/off switch so he can shut it off when he's not singing. I...
Shure SM58S Cardioid Dynamic Vocal Microphone with On/Off Switch
You really can't beat this two pack of boom stands. They're portable and tough enough for live shows and band practice.
On-Stage MS7701B Euro Boom Microphone Stand 2-Pack
I like a round base non-boom type stand for vocals, and this is my preferred one.
On-Stage MS7201B Round Base Microphone Stand
Our Top Music Vids Recording/Editing Gear
Everything we use to shoot and edit our music videos.
We have shot entire music videos with just this camera. It's smooth as butter, and captures great moving shots. About the easiest thing to transport ever.
Osmo Pocket 3 - For Moving Moments
We use this program to edit our official music videos for new song releases. No subscription fee, loads of features, and a user friendly interface.
VEGAS Pro: Video Editing Software
I use this to create lyric videos, promo shorts, and spotify canvas loop videos for new song releases. They have great stock footage and it's easy to sync your music track to your chosen video clips right in canva.
Canva Pro Video: Premium Clip Library & Features
We have had many GoPro cams over the years and they keep getting better. We shoot most of our “out of studio” shots with these, for music vids and YouTube vids.
