These are the tools I personally owned to make this project! Any variety of them will work though so use what you have
Any drill will do, this is just the one I owned already!

Use a circular saw to cut the wood

Attached here is the wood and all the supplies I purchased for this project!! You definitely can use whatever supplies are available to you though
Any 1x4 or 1x6 piece of wood will work depending on your desired width, but this is the wood I chose! I got an 8 foot long board but choose whatever size will be long enough for your couch. If in between lengths, cut to size
RELIABILT 1-in x 4-in x 8-ft Unfinished Clear S4S Radiata pine Common Softwood Board
Fill in the holes from the screws with some wood filler! I got this one because it’s stainable
Minwax Stainable 6.0 Ounce(s) Natural Wood Filler
I cut this down to the lengths I needed for each of the 3 legs
RELIABILT 1-1/8-in x 4-in x 8-ft Unfinished #2 S4S Eastern white pine Common Softwood Board
I used nails but wish I used screws. Might replace the nails at some point
Fas-n-Tite #8 x 2-1/2-in Yellow zinc Interior Wood screws (
I put 2 of these on the inside of each piece of wood leg to reinforce the connection
