You don't need much when going to have a baby at a hospital because they provide most things you need there but here are some recommendations of what I would consider “must-haves” that helped make my labor or hospital stay more comfortable.

I'd highly recommend taking slippers to walk around in your hospital room or maybe even to go home in. My hospital made me wear non-slip grip socks in my room but I wore slippers to go home just because I wanted to be really comfy.
