Trust me, handwriting practice is easier when they are writing these silly sentences. I make a big deal like…"i can't believe this is what you're writing! who would come up with this?!" and my kid just thinks it's hilarious.

This thing is so fun and very hands on. HOWEVER, I would suggest storing the letter dice somewhere little hands can't get them and lose them! Cause it is annoying losing one!

Once your kid has his addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts down pat--let them use a calculator when they get into the longer algorithims. It will help them understand it SO much better and lets be honest--what adult doesn't use a calculator?
So fun!
Don't bother with the other brands. You'll end up having to buy way less pencils if you go with Ticonderoga!
