Simply an extraordinary island off the Northumberland coast. You can book an accommodation on the mainland which is what my friends and I did, but make sure you check the tide times so you don't risk being stranded on the trip back.

Walking around Whitby Abbey and having a fish and chip at the pier are really some of the best things to do in Yorkshire. Can get busy during peak tourism season so plan accordingly.
