Cheap filler kibble was literally the root of all our problems. Once I switched to real protein-first formulas, the difference showed up in about two weeks flat.

Dry kibble alone wasn't cutting it for us. Adding a wet topper with omega-3s was the thing that pushed her coat from okay to actually shiny. Plus she thinks it's a treat.

The vet told me to think of fish oil like conditioner from the inside out. Started adding it daily and the shedding dropped so much I actually vacuumed less. Not even exaggerating.

Better food handles the inside. But you still need the right brush to get rid of dead undercoat. I was using the wrong brush for two years and wondering why fur tumbleweeds kept rolling across my kitchen floor.

Bathing with the wrong shampoo was stripping all the natural oils off her skin. Once I matched the right formula to her coat type, the difference between wet-dog-sad and actually-glossy was night and day.

Realized I was handing out treats five times a day anyway, so why not make them do something useful. Replaced the junk treats with these and her snack time became part of the coat recovery plan.

Nobody talks about this part. My dog was sleeping on a bed that trapped heat and moisture, which made her skin issues worse. Changed her sleeping setup and saw improvement I wasn't expecting at all.
