After one lady at the grocery store literally unclipped my blanket to peek at my sleeping baby, I went on a mission. These covers zip, snap, or velcro shut so nobody gets in without your permission.

My baby screamed every afternoon drive because the sun hit her face at exactly the wrong angle. I tried towels, I tried positioning — nothing worked until I got proper window shades.

Before I found the right blankets, I was draping receiving blankets over the car seat and they'd slide off every twelve seconds. These ones are big enough, light enough, and actually stay where you put them.

Covering the car seat is great until you realize you've basically built a tiny sauna. These little fans solved the airflow problem I didn't think about until my baby was sweating through her onesie.

Nobody warned me about mosquitoes finding my baby inside the car seat at outdoor restaurants. One evening covered in welts was enough — I ordered nets the next morning.

Got caught in a parking lot rainstorm with no cover and sprinted to the car holding a blanket over my baby like a tent. Never again. These live permanently in my trunk now.

My baby screamed the second a cover went on because suddenly there was nothing to look at. Hanging toys inside the cover fixed this overnight — she forgot anyone was blocking her view.

Sometimes the cover comes off and someone's already reaching in before you can react. Having wipes ready became my reflex — not paranoid, just practical after cold season hit our household hard.
