Vacuuming was the chore that broke me. Dog hair tumbleweeds rolling across the floor at 2pm on a Tuesday — I finally snapped and let a robot handle it.

Mopping is the chore where you somehow make the floor dirtier. Wringing out a gross mop head was my villain origin story until I found machines that do it better than I ever could.

Two cats and a traditional litter box meant scooping twice a day or living in a house that smelled like a subway station. That math didn't work for me.

Confession: dishes sat in my sink for three days regularly. Not because I'm lazy — okay partly — but because hand-washing a pan after cooking felt like being punished for feeding myself.

Washing clothes? Fine. Drying them? Whatever. But folding? That laundry chair in my bedroom had a permanent wardrobe living on it for months.

Every houseplant I've ever owned has died a slow, neglected death. Not from malice — I just genuinely forget they exist until the leaves are crispy.

Cleaning the blender was worse than whatever smoothie I made in it. Same for the oven, the air fryer basket, all of it. These at least fight back on their own.

My cat decided breakfast was at 4:47am and communicated this by sitting on my face. An automatic feeder was less about convenience and more about survival.

All these gadgets running separately is fine, but connecting them so they work on schedules and triggers without me thinking about it — that's where the real laziness optimization kicked in.
